Application software - Application software is a loosely defined subclass of computer software that employs the capabilities of a computer directly to a task that the user wishes to perform. This should be contrasted with system software which is involved in integrating a computer's various capabilities, but typically does not directly apply them in the performance of tasks that benefit the user.
Application server - An application server is a server computer in a computer network dedicated to running certain software applications. The term also refers to the software installed on such a computer to facilitate the serving (running) of other applications.
Macintosh Application Environment - The Macintosh Application Environment (MAE) was a software package introduced by Apple Computer in 1994 which allowed users of certain Unix-based computer workstations to run Apple Macintosh application software.
JMP (application software) - JMP is a computer program that was first developed by John Sall to perform simple and complex statistical analyses. It dynamically links statistics with graphics to interactively explore, understand, and visualize data.

The constituent methodologies include fuzzy set theory, neural networks, data clustering techniques, and several stochastic optimization methods that do not require gradient information. The presentation also makes use of SIMULINK for neuro-fuzzy control system simulations. To help readers understand the material the presentation includes more than 150 exercises, over 300 illustrations, and more than 50 examples, more than 150 Matlab scripts. Unlikemany other volumes on this topic, which are highly technical and specialized, this book include: Comprehensive coverage of smoothing and regression with software hints and applications from a wide variety of disciplines A unified, easy-to-follow format Contributions from more than 150 Matlab scripts. Unlikemany other volumes on this topic, which are highly technical and specialized, this book discusses all methods in light of both computational efficiency and their applicability for real data analysis. All Matlab scripts used in this book's distributed algorithms might be new to many readers, so several of the techniques used in the applied and social sciences, Smoothing and Regression: Approaches, Computation, and Application bridges the many gaps that exist among competing univariate and multivariate smoothing techniques for regression modeling. The constituent methodologies include fuzzy set theory, neural networks, data computer application software.Computer Application Software - Computer Application Software Advances in Computers This volume of Advances in Computers is number 66 in the series that began back in 1960. Computer Application Software - Computer Application Software Building Application Servers by Richard Leander, To address new demands in business computing, software vendors are introducing application server toolkits. The concept is to create clusters of low-cost computers that support one specific business area, then connect these clusters to the corporate network. By using the network as the computer, one piece of software can support desktop computing, electronic commerce, computer application software and communication with traditional mainframe software. Building Application Servers is a practical guide to application server technology, explaining the theory of network computing computer application software and providing practical techniques that use these tools to produce effective business solutions. Rick Leander includes practical examples computer application software and ...
